Here are pictures of our tree...Russ had to build a fence to keep George Henry (dog) out of the gifts and ornaments! DGD Rheaya Ann (18 months) loved the gate...she went in and out, touching every ornament she could reach. Plus we didn't care if she took them off the tree! She had a great time.

New Quilts

This is made from stash, except for the backing...I really love making the Irish Chain pattern. I ran out of one of the fabrics, so had to make a design decision...this is the result!




This quilt is made entirely from stash. It is for a friend who battled colon cancer and won!!




This quilt was given to me by the ladies on the Loose Threads list. I was signed up for a block swap with them, but had to cancel because of my surgery. Each of the ladies made an extra block for me and my friend Judy did the quilting...it is truly beautiful!!

Holiday Season!

It is the Holiday Season and this picture is my way of saying Merry Chirstmas!! My husband said that over the last 10 years (while I was sick), I had lost my sense of fun...I think I've found it again!! Hopefully the picture will not frighten you...lol. :)

LBS Lost!

I went to see my surgeon today and I have now lost 73 pounds!!! I'm down 4 sizes, and feel 100% better...like my old self! I am almost half way to my goal. Life is good.

Weigh-In Day!

Russ and I weighed in today...he is down a total of 25.4 lbs and I'm down 64.5 lbs!! Yay for us!!! :):)

I've been busy getting ready to go to a quilt retreat on Thursday am...can't wait...so excited. I don't really have any quilts for show and tell, most of my bed sized quilts left the house right after coming back from the quilter's! LOL. But I do have a bunch of placemats and table runners finished, so guess those will have to do.

Several Finishes

Yesterday I finished the binding on the last of the 4 quilts Francie brought to me...and bound the runners for her and Old Auntie for Christmas. Yeah!!! Also finished my greedy gift for retreat, a Christmas wall hanging.

Quilts, Quilts, Quilts

I have been working like a speed demon making quilted Christmas presents. So far I have 2 table runners and 1 (6) set placemats for my son and daughter-in-law; 1 (4) set placemats and 2 quilts for daughter #1 and husband; 5 sets (4) Christmas placemats for Russ's staff and boss, and 2 runners for my sister and auntie ready to quilt. Francie (sis) dropped 4 quilts off yesterday for me to bind...and I have one quilt of mine that Francie sandwiched and I need to quilt. Whew!!!

I started an Etsy store for some postcards, cup sleeves and a couple of runners. So far I have sold 1 postcard...hopefully business will pick up. LOL. :):)

Russ and I weighed in last week and he is down almost 20 lbs, and I'm down 53 lbs. Tried to get a new picture, but both looked like I ate small children for snacks! :)

Christmas Presents

This set of placemats are not Christmas presents...I made them just because for my sister, Francie.
