I have my surgery date...16 July...I am truly scared to death...but afraid if I don't have the surgery, I WILL die...so here I am.
I will be having the surgery in Seattle at the Virginia Mason facility...they seem to be a great bunch of professionals.
I registered at Susan Maria's website and am looking forward to 'meeting' people and learning from them and their experiences.

Listen Girlfriend, you just pull up your big girl panties and do what you have to do to keep you with us for a very long time! :-)
That being said, I think you are very brave. I will say lots of prayers for you and your doctors. Keep us posted.
When I lived in Seattle a few years back, I contracted a hip infection. I had my surgery at V.Mason......It's a wonderful hospital.
No need to worry about your care at all. And best of luck with what YOU need to do to make this all work. *S*
We're all pulling for you - and send you best thoughts while you are going through this. You'll be so happy when it is all done!!!!
Hi Cheri, it's Vicky from Dyehards. I had this surgery 6 yrs ago on Sunday and would do it again in a heartbeat if necessary. It was the best thing I ever did for myself. I have heart disease and only lost 80 lbs but I might be dead or would definintely be much worse off if I hadn't done it. I will be thinking about you and look forward to hearing about your wonderful success!!
Any surgery is scary, but you sound like you're in good hands and prayers will be with you for a complete success.
Hi Cheri: Best wishes to you and hope your upcoming surgery is successful and your recovery swift.
Enjoyed looking at your quilts - thank you for sharing.
I'm working away at new projects and articles for my recently launched website: http://www.simplequiltmaking.com
Cheers and happy 4th!

Prayers and love your way. I've been thinking about this surgery and honestly not sure if I can do it. Would love to chat with you about your experiences.
